It is official. Brooke Shields finally admits to the skin cancer rumors that have been spreading throughout the media. The 44 year old actress apparently had a brush of skin cancer on her face which doctors diagnosed as pre-cancerous. Lucky for Brooke the patch of skin was only that. Many people catch skin cancer but rarely do you hear of celebrities getting the disease. The funny thing about Brooke Shields was that when she was younger, she and her friends used to go up on the roof and bake in the sun. Years later, the pre-cancerous spot on her face appears.
After the scare, Brooke Shields is better. The "The Blue Lagoon" star is said to be doing fine and more vigilant in protecting her skin when going out in the sun. Brooke's children, six-year-old Rowan and three-year-old Grier are to be protected at all times, says Shields. People tend to see this scare is a fluke and that people cannot get it. That is a lie. 1/7 will get a skin neoplasia. With scares similar to Brooke Shields and even more dangerous, cancer of the skin proves that it has no prejudices. Even celebrities can get the disease.
Brooke Shields has had her battles in the past and this is just another scare to add on top of the reliefs she has also had. Cancer of the skin is a very scary thing to overcome. It is amazing how quickly she has recovered from this scare based on prior scares. Brooke Shields is among the many that have had scares similar to this. The best action to take to prevent further attacks happen is to wear your sunscreen, practice safe swimming times, and always protect yourself. It is never a good idea to ignore the changes in your body. Many people in today's world tend to ignore what is naturally wrong. Your body is the only one you have, so take care of it.
